Senior Systems Engineer
Datapath, Inc. is a leader in satellite and terrestrial telecommunications
system design, integration and turnkey installation services. We are
headquartered in Duluth, GA (northeast suburb of Atlanta, GA). We are
experiencing tremendous growth in the expansive communications
industry.
Our Sr. Systems Engineers support the development of both
satellite-based and terrestrial telecommunication systems for our customers in
the Department of Defense, U.S. Military and commercial industries. Based on the
customer requirements, you will take the project from conceptual design,
derivation and flow down of requirements, creation and presentation of design,
system reviews, and test data reviews.
In
this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead the Program Team for cross-competency engineering initiatives from
design to delivery
- Verbally articulating the design considerations for a SATCOM solution
- Create engineering specifications and draft designs
- Predict performance and/or operational characteristics of solution under a
given scenarios
- Collaborate with other engineering groups on complex design issues
- Create new and modify existing engineering specifications and draft designs
- Provide broad level engineering consultation to Business Development and
Program Management
- Apply your expertise in RF system design (gain, phase noise, VSWR,
intermodulation, group relay, group delay, EMI) and in FDMA, TDMA, link budgets
and MLA
Requirements:
- 10+ years of Systems Engineering and related experience in SATCOM
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Successful candidates will have experience with:
- Antenna systems
- HPA & LNA
- Network design
- Link budgets
- Testing and installation
- RF converters and design
- Design software: AutoCAD, Visio
- Terminal installation and Satellite Standards (Intelsat and Eutelsat)
- Spectrum and network analyzers
- IRD
- Fixed, motorized and VSAT antenna systems
- Video encoders
