Job Title: Information Assurance Engineer
In this role you will design, develop, or recommends integrated security system solutions that will ensure DataPath’s proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, or recommends integrated security system solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected.

Provides technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions.

Participates with system developers in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs.

Configures and validates secure systems.
-
Tests security products and systems to detect security weaknesses.

Applies the processes to create an IA architecture which embodies Defense in Depth concepts and strategies.

Applies processes to drive the IA architecture into a certifiable system design.
-
Performs risk assessment and IA trades.
-
Documents IA requirements, architectures, and design.
-
Works with the system developers to ensure IA requirements are being met.

Works with certification test teams to develop tests to validate that IA requirements are being met.

Documents certification test results and support other Certification & Accreditation (C&A) documentation.

Defines, describes, and identifies accreditation boundary.

Understands difference between remediation and mitigation.
-
Reviews product/service architecture and analyzes against security policy.
-
Works with network engineers to coordinate security efforts.
-
Mitigates security threats and vulnerabilities.
-
Identifies security vulnerabilities in vendor products prior to introducing in network designs.

Represents Security Implementations on select InfoSec-related matters.

Provides advice, guidance, and assistance to managers, network engineers and system engineers on InfoSec matters.

Identifies InfoSec requirements necessary for the protection of all information processed, stored and transmitted by information systems and develops procedures to ensure compliance.

Identifies current security implementations processes and develops tools to support.

Analyzes manual security implementation functions and provides recommendations of analysis to management.
Core Requirements:
-
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
-
5-7 yrs experience in Information Security (10 Security Domains Knowledge)

CISSP certification
-
Unix Admin/Security
-
Windows Batch scripting/Unix shell scripting
-
IA Documentation and verification
-
Security Architecture Design
-
Security Implementation Testing and evaluation
-
DITSCAP/DIACAP/FISMA experience
-
