TeleCommunications Specialist I/II

Company Information:
DataPath is a global telecommunications systems integrator specializing in satellite earth terminals and network solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Installing, testing, troubleshooting and maintaining the following technologies: VSAT, local area network (LAN)/wide area network (WAN), Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), IP networking, TDMA satellite modems
  • Installing, operating and maintaining all aspects of the network as well as providing operator training for military personnel
Core Requirements:
  • Familiar with encryption, VoIP, storage area networks, network management, analog video, video networking over IP, multicast routing and server functions
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • Requires a valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to obtain an international driver’s license
  • Successful completion of CRC required
  • Hands on experience configuring Cisco routers/switches with the ability to troubleshoot network problems
  • Data, voice, network management and baseband experience required
  • An understanding of virtual local area networks (VLANs)
  • Working knowledge of operation and configuring the following equipment:
    • ViaSat Linkway Modems
    • Cisco 2600/2800/3700/3800
    • Windows Server 2000/2003
    • RAID/ Storage Array
  • Minimum experience in satellite communications
  • Unix skills a plus
